Seagal's worst in his skinny days' movies before Glimmer Man

I always thought from Above the Law to Under Siege 2, On Deadly Ground was one of Seagal's worst in that timeline. ATL was average, HTK was good, MFD was pretty awesome, OFJ was shamefully violent and fun, Under Siege was awesome, ODG just plain BAD, US 2 was violently fun with underrated performances from Eric Bogeson and the guy from People Under the Stairs, ED doesn't really count as a Seagal movie, and the turning point Glimmer Man, which could have been better if Seagal hadn't gained sooo much weight but otherwise an average action film.

You expect us to understand those initials without wasting time looking them up?

If you're a true seagal fan i shouldidn't have to spell out what those movies are since all of his hits from the early 90's only had three words in each title.

I was a big Segall fan, but your initials for movie titles left me cross-eyed.

Steven Seagal had skinny days?

The only film he appeared skinny is "Above the Law".

I strongly disagree. In terms of sheer entertainment (the only terms Seagal's films should be discussed in) this movie is every bit the equal of Hard to Kill and Out for Justice, and a great deal better then Above the Law and Fire Down Below. It's extremely campy at times ("What does it take to change the essence of a man?"), but that just adds to the fun. Michael Caine gave his role much more then it deserved, and some of Johnny C. McGinnly's lines were downright hilarious (after watching the special features on Scrubs I'm convinced that most of it was improvised). The action was as good as any of his other movies. Plus we got some random naked chicks dancing in the middle of a "spiritual journey". So let's see, we've got campyness, epic bad guys, good action and nudity, and the last time I checked those were the four most important parts in a Seagal film.

BLAST IT ALL! Stop using acronyms you bloody loon! It is becoming obnoxious, having to decipher your stupid letters every time.

ATL-- Above the Law. HTK. . . Hard to Kill, MFD. . . . . . . ? I DON'T KNOW! OFJ? Who knows?
ODG? On Dangerous Ground? US. Under Siege. ED-- why are you using acronyms, again?

ATL-Above The Law HTK-Hard to Kill MFD-Marked For Death OFJ-Out For Justice ODG-On Deadly Ground US- Under Siege ED- Executive Decision! My god! Are any of you 29 years old or older!

I agree, I hated this movie when it came out but it has grown on me over the years. I was 21 when I saw it first and couldn't care less about the message it had lol but now that I'm older I get it and appreciate it. But I still think it's his worse one of the group of movies you're talking about. This seems to happen to every actor, once they get some kind of status they think they need to start making different movies. Look at George Clooney's choices of movies once he gained some fame. Completely lame.
