Does anyone here see this movie as a rather large elaborate "Aristocrats" or "Shaggy Dog" joke?

Rob Reiner must have had an ulterior motive, he couldn't seriously think this was a good movie. It was a joke for him.

I think he thought it was an interesting fable to do, but didn't realize how bad it would be. Of course, so many filmmakers have this problem.
