Trying to watch it now.... PAIN!

Trying to watch this right now on NEtflix streaming, it is Painfully dull, like i cracked one smirk so far and that was at Elijah Wood doing Fiddler on the Rood for 5 seconds, and only cause I think Fiddler is funny.

20 minutes in and I am giving up, I don't find it as hateful as Ebert did, I guess when you think about all the time and money and talent wasted here it makes you hate the people who wrote and produced it, cause it is such a void, a complete waste of time and ideas.

Lighten up dude, it's just a children's movie.

*edit to add: I will thank you though for making me aware (in a roundabout fashion) that it's now available at Netflix.

I completely agree. I saw this movie as a 15 year old when it first came out and it was bad, and today I tried again. There are great actors in this movie, but that doesnt change the over the top premise and substandard writing.
