Now that I'm a father,
I'm home sick, and my elementary-school-age son, also sick, was curled up with me a bit earlier (I also have a preschool-age son, who's also getting the bug). After he went downstairs to go see mom, I turned on this film. I'm not normally one who cries about movies, but in the scene where Paul's grandson brings the artificial leg to the lawyer had me in tears this time. I don't remember this scene affecting me this much before I had kids. I guess you always want to see your kids stretch themselves, and that scene was representative of that.
