'I'm off you for life' - Sully's Lawyer

This is probably my favorite line in the film. I'm not sure why, but I love this line.

It's when the lawyer informs Sully that Jessica Tandy paid his overdue taxes and saved his parent's old house on Bowden St. Sully let the house go to pot because he hated his father and that was his way of getting back at him. He didn't want anyone to get involved, but she did and now, Sully owns the home again.

Sully is pissed at this, but the lawyer asks him for a favor; that he should act grateful when Tandy tells him about it. And if he doesn't act grateful, he's off him for life. meaning he will turn his back on him an no longer consider him a client OR friend. And this coming from a one legged lawyer who's always in a good mood.

It's just a strong line in a strong scene from a strong film. One of my favorite films and is rewatchable.

I watch this film often, partly for that line, but many others as well. Terrific novel and very good film.
