Alternate Ending?

I just watched the movie again after several years, and was surprised by the ending, namely Sully falling asleep in Beryl's chair. For some reason, I remember an ending where Sully is given a new red pick up truck. Am I thinking of a different movie, or is there an alternate ending?

I saw it in the theater when it was first released and there was definitely no new red pickup truck in that version. I am not aware of any "director's cut" being released since then, but it is always a possibility.

Rather peculiar thing to remember when that is more in line with what happened in the book. I don't suppose you read it?

No, I did not read the book, but if what I remember is similar to the book, then maybe there is an alternate version. Very interesting.
