i think it's kinda sad...maybe Nell cried at the thought of her deceased sister as she watching Liam Neeson's little girl frolicking around in front of her...what do you think that make her cried at the denouement?
shareYes, I think that was why. I think it was a fairly good ending and better than the one they had originally planned where Nell inspires an almost quasi-religious cult.

The court room bit could have been a lot more meaningful if it had a great score, powerful dialogue but no. It was all in Neeson's hands to make that scene at least good and he did his best I think.
I liked the ending and it was shown that Paula and Jerry married and had a daughter together and it seemed that Nell found a place in the community.

I almost cried... and I usually don't cry in movies! It was great.
