The last scene where Jodie says to the little girl "remember that" and then looks into the sunset as she whip's away her tears was the most real acting I've probably every seen. I was taken back and it felt good, good for me to shed a tear also. Thank you Jodie, if you ever read this. Rob.
at first i thought this was gonna be a stupid movie... and i didn't understand a thing... but after watching it for so long you begin to understand her and the movie was just GREAT...
Not much of a soft movie kinda guy, but this movie had that special Touch
I watched it last night in the UK and I was really impressed with Jodie's performance, it was obviously a challenging role and she did wonderfully, fully immersing herself in the character. Though I felt it dragged on at times, it was an interesting and orginal film. The ending was very sweet and I was just happy that her life was somewhat normal in the end.
This is our last dance This is ourselves Under pressure.
i saw the first 45 mins then fell asleep (i had to get up at 6:30 for school) and my mates at school said it was really good, i wish i didnt fall asleep. oh well a trip to blockbusters!
This movie is beautiful, just finished watching it like 5 minutes ago. The ending, wow! I know this was based on a play, has anyone seen/read the play?
Zoom in as they burn the past to the ground, and feel the heat of the future's glow!

OMG...i wrote exactly the same thing on another forum 2 mins ago...literally...and i had never read this post before!!!
the most beautiful story/film ever made...and Jodie makes it happen...you can totally understand why she believes this to be her best performance. i can see why she is very proud. a subtle film with huge force, so that after its finished, you're still thinking about it...well i am. Thank you Jodie for making this film with Egg Pictures...its all thanks to you!!!
I think the ending was very sad....not happy...I think shes come to realize that shes lost something that she can never get back...i dont know...thats just what i got from it...to me it was a very bitter sweet ending...
I loved it too. How come it has such bad ratings on imdb?? It was such an astonishing performance by Jodie Foster. She would have deserved to get an Oscar for that. this movie is so underrated in my opinion!
