What are the differences between the movie and the original stage play?

According to the credits, this film is based upon a stage play by Mark Handley called "Idioglossia".

I can't find any info on the stage play anywhere...

Can someone in the know provide me with a summary of the stage play and tell me what are the major differences between the play and the film?

I looked up "Idioglossia" on Wikipedia (not the most reliable source for information, but as a play it would have at least been listed) and this is waht came up: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Idioglossia

I think whoever told you that was just mistaken in thinking it was a play, I'd never heard anything of the sort before.

The only thing different was a movie novelization - it explained a lot
more about Nell that couldn't be filmed.
