twins - bad choice

i loved this movie - perfectly put together so u can watch it a million times without getting bored - the only thing i would change is the twins supposedly being a young jodie foster. separatly they work perfecly - they look like wild children, jodie is the perfect nell, but they look Nothing like the adult nell.
i mean i no people change when they grow up but....
does anyone else agree?

yes, neither look like Jodie Foster in her early movies, but it must be remembered that the twins chosen for this movie were cast from a limited selection of the local population near their filming location, and it would have been difficult enough to find twins that looked like jodie from normal casting methods in big cities. i would imagine that twins most physically resembling the young nell and her sister were selected from the local population since they didn't have many lines to act anyway

i wonder how the first twin died

the first twin drowned...

Actually, the scene where Nell sees her sister walk into the water and dissappear represents her letting go of her sister.

According to the book the movie is based on, her sister died from a childhood disease.

i used to go to school with the twins that were cast, and they're from northern virginia. the movie was filmed in north carolina, so maybe it really was just a bad move on the casting director's part.

The twins are good friends of mine. They're still acting and doing really well. And I think the transformation was probable.
I oughtta be in pictures!

I'm guessing this is them all grown up.
