Is the entire movie worth watching?

I just watched parts of this movie in one of my classes about disability in the media. Of course, since time was limited, she would fast forward through some parts and stopped pretty much where they figured out the twin thing... she told us about how she got put into the hospital for a while but we never got to the part.

From the parts I've seen, it's very good, now what about the entire movie? Is that something I should consider renting?

Yes, its worth watching. I agree to a point with GhostMint, although its a bit unfair to judge the teacher without first knowing her reasons for using the movie, and the points she did make.

I agree there are important messages in this film. I advise not to watch it expecting a totally believable story, but to enjoy the characters and think on the message. Go a step further - hire the DVD and watch the "Special features". I long ago grew tired of watching these special features and "makings of", but in this case the simple text file is quite interesting, and discusses the human values side of the film, including the rather profound effect that both the story and the filming location had on the whole cast and crew.

I loved the whole movie, too. I wish I had the DVD.

"A boy's best friend is his mother." Yeah. Norman Bates needs a dog.

I've only seen a few minutes of this movie and it made me want to watch it. Of course the scene I saw was where Jodi Foster showed her tits and I liked that so I'm ordering a used DVD from Amazon markettplace.

Excellent movie.

Yeah I got the movie on DVD and watched the whole thing and it really was good all the way through. Oh and did I mention that Jodie Foster shows her tits in the movie? I'm just sayin'.

I think this movie is worth watching. If you have a bit of training or more in psychology you may get more out of it but whatever it is engrossing in how she comes from total naivete to being able to socialize with friends.
