So Nineties as it would be totally unethical

This movie is so nineties as Nell's treatment by "professionals" in the outside world would be considered totally unethical by today's standards. Still really interesting though.

One thing that I thought was stupid - the sexual undertones or "makin love" ... I mean the girl doesn't understand electricity or how to buy things with money or how to read but they bought her a book on "sensual love making"!? Come on, that's all Hollywood. I know art is the temporary suspension of disbelief but that was too much. I mean of all the things she needs to know to survive on her own after growing up in isolation from the world outside her mom and sister - and they hand her an illustrated love making book, Pshaw. That gave me a chuckle.

Anytime… this is a website dedicated to movies, after all. It would be natural to use the message boards for discussion.

You're welcome.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that that's the one thing she'd be able to figure out on her own...or with the help of one other individual.
