The entire premise is essentially based around a pedophilia/incest joke.

Said 14 year old makes out with a 22 year old guy. In fact he's the love interest.
The icing on the cake? It's all rated PG. "Charming family fun."
Oh, and did I mention its technically a Disney movie?

Humor here is generated by the juxtaposition between Nic's obliviousness the likely ramification of choice of outfit, her pops his reaction, and a few folks around the pool opining that Nic's swimwear automatically makes her more French than the heavily accented Depradieu

Don't ever watch "Pretty Baby" with Brooke Shields if you feel this way about this movie.
