Baha Men? the who let the dogs out folk
are the Baha Men in this film the same ones who let the dogs out a few years ago? if so how long have they been going?

Yep, I realize I'm replying to an old thread but oh well, sue me. The question's still relevant.
The Baha Men have been out for years. Actually since the 70s, put out some albums on their own in the 80s, and got signed to a label in the 1990s. They were famous in the Bahamas and I think platinum in Japan or something like that before they came to the US. Got their first worldwide (and US) hit with Who Let The Dogs Out. I feel like that song was a blessing and a curse because while it made them famous, people questioned their credibility as an act. And it was overplayed to the point of exhaustion. That's more on the people who decided they couldn't take them seriously or give them a fair chance but it happened.
Anyway, I was surprised to find out they had been going for years before WLTDO, they seemed like a new act to me. Though in a way they were, the 3 frontmen were new members.
