Wouldn't it be amazing if...
They were to do a sequel now 20 years later???
shareNo. This film stands best alone.
shareNo I don't like seeing sequels (in other words updates of a characters life), they should just leave it as it is.
Ashmi any question
I just watched this movie again today and thought the same thing. A sequel showing her life 20 years later could be interesting. I can picture her as having gotten pregnant by David the night before she left for good, divorcing David yet remaining good friends, David moving back to his own country and winning the gold medal in the Olympics, Muriel reconnecting with and marrying Brice (who really seemed to like her for who she was) and together they raise David's baby who grows up to be a world champion swimmer like his father. Oh well, maybe one day.
shareWhat would be the point? I hate when actors and actresses have gotten visibly older and then watch them in flashbacks. It just jars. Trying to look like they did 20 years ago would be too much.
