In a 50s tv remake, Thomas Mitchell looks deranged as he attacks the doctor. For 50s tv, 'violence' couldn't be shown, so we get a closeup of Mitchell's face.

Theresa Wright is on the phone and suggests the mail be sent to the courtroom.

In the '73 remake, don't recall Sebastian Cabot's encounter with the doctor, would have to rewatch it, but attorney David Hartman (the John Payne character) is the one who brings in the mail.

I just watched a bit of this one, the '94 movie, before I decided to change the channel. I know the mail didn't even enter the final scene.

Isn't it inteesting how the changes are made?
