Love this film, but is it a bit cheaply made?
Tried to look what its budget was on Wikipedia but couldn’t find out?
shareSure. Cheaply made. That hideous Christmas wonderland in the store. The god awful Santa suit. The ridiculous mock up of a parade. Completely unknown cast. And what hellish location did they film this in and try to pass it off as New York? Not to mention the horrible screeching soundtrack and hundreds of children running around in rags and flour sacks.
And sarcasm in a pear tree.
I know for a fact that the courtroom scenes were filmed in Chicago, as my ex-wife was a background performer in them. (She's the blonde who pops up in wildly different parts of the spectator seating area, since they filmed over several days and made no effort to put people in the same seats.) The rest of the locations, I can't help you with.
