...the endings should have shown a glimpse of santa and his reindeers flying on christmas eve and everyone sees it to realize that santa indeed is real all along.

even the hint about being at the prosecutor's house last year with the antenna ripping his pants should have shown santa in his house this year to the shock of the prosecutor.

Like the original, this movie not only has the characters wrestle with the idea of whether there's a Santa Claus or not, but also makes the audience make the same decision. Is there a Santa or just a really nice older man who's lucky? To have a scene as you describe, would remove the mystery and the decision making of the audience.
