the ending

Loved this movie. The ending bothered me. I cringe every time I see it. It was just stupid. For one thing, I don't think doing a dance routine would go over too well at a "military" event. It just didn't seem to fit.

Not so much the dance routine, as using their weapons as batons. They're weapons, not toys! You're right, this would not have been acceptable in a military competition.

you obviously havent seen the USMC drill team. thet can spin their rifles like baton and do stuff you counldnt even dream of. Looks very impressive. i have done the same with .303 and SLR rifles, and it is real hard and takes hundreds of hours of practice.

reply

How would they do something like that and still comply with weapon safety rules?

reply

you're absolutely right, people get shot all the time

reply

Basically because the weapon would probably be rendered inert and therefore unable to fire a projectile. The drill's themselves aren't great, but the only dangerous part really is the tossing of the weapon in the air. In todays military, which is rife with Hazard Risk Management, making the weapon inert is the only acceptable way.

As far as doing the same drill with 303 and SLR, I dont think I have ever seen the Fed Guard do anything like that!!!

Hey people this movie was for entertainment, not to give an education on military events...... Just throwing it out there

This time, Effie White's gonna win.

Whitney was wrong. Children are no longer the future.
