I also think this film is a pile of sh*te.

A cash in on Dogs, but with less charisma and less qaulity.

Avary made a better job with the rules of attraction, but lets face it......hes no Tarantino!!!

Honestly, it's a bit ignorant to claim that this is a "knock-off" of Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction when it's made by one of the same guys. And also since it came out the same time as Pulp Fiction. Get your facts straight. Honestly, people buy in too much to the big Tarantino thing just because there's so much hype around him. As much as I like Tarantino, I think Avary is a lot darker, just less mainstream and harder to like. I mean Killing Zoe doesn't have outward jokes like Dogs and Pulp Fiction, but it's much funnier.

I can't stand it when people connect this to reservoir dogs just because of a bank robbery. In fact, right in the dvd box it says that Lawrence bender found a great abandodned bank location, but they didn't need it for "Dogs" So Avary wrote this as a way to use the bank.

Reservoir Dogs... i can see that comparison
but when it was actually released the SAME MONTH as Pulp Fiction????
How can you claim it as a rip-off?

i think the acting is great and the writing is too. there's so much more going on in pretty much every scene than the average jurrasic-park-movie-watcher tends to notice

this movie is a masterpiece. i've seen it around 8 times now. i suggest you get high and watch this movie again and see the deeper layer of it

I was dissapointed in this movie. Why they decided to base the storyy in paris god only knows as that ruined the film for me. I mean who wants to listen to a load of frogs attempting to speak english for 90 minutes. The most annoying language in the world is french............

I'm guessing you're American and just couldn't take the "Hey! I'm a US Citizen! American! You know, the United States of America? Oh, you don't speak English? If it wasn't for my country you'd be speaking German in here!" *gets shot* joke. :) It was the best part of the entire film.

Paris is a wonderful setting, and you don't even see any of it in this movie.

Nice american stereotype, by the way. If that's the only reason a lot of Europeans don't like Americans, then find a new stereotype that really does fit Americans or come here, I imagine there would be the same kind of culture shock. Maybe a little less gangsta, but the clash of appearance and mannerisms would be pretty similar. If I were to ever go to France and walk around looking like that and yelling about that kind of gibberish I expect I would be spit on. That idiot in the bank doesn't exist and If he did, he wouldn't go to France. He'd go to Vegas.

I highly doubt this fellow with the review will ever look at this thread again but oh well, this must be said. This dude loses all credibility because his favorite movie is the English Patient. What? The guy likes RD and PF but not KZ and his favorite movie is the English Patient? I went further to find he's another wannabe film student/blockbuster employee who probably jerks off to QT's picture every night. Face it man, you are never going to be QT so stop trying to act like he is God and Avary is *beep* just because of the contraversy over their work. This is so retarded. Oh and to clerify I am a hure QT fan and am only now getting into Avary's stuff after I read his artical in scr(i)pt about Silent Hill.

i REALLY loved teh way it was set in Paris, made it different and I don't think it would have had half the class if it didn't have these interesting actors / characters. it would have been just another derivative bank heist film.

I thought I was wrong once, but I was mistaken!

The film is apparently very predictable, which is a major failing. Then you mention how Titanic is a better film. Because that isn't predictable?
