MAJOR FLAW with the ending

If the director is trying to give us a pseudo happy ending with Zed riding away scott-free with Zoe, he's overlooked one major thing. As part of their post investigation into the crime, the french police will dust Zed's tool kit to learn who did the actual safe cracking. When that happens, Zed and Zoe's new life together will come to a crashing halt.

In the trivia it mentions that Roger Avery has written a sequel that has Zed and Zoe on the run, ending up in Morocco.

So it sounds like the guy who wrote the movie agrees with you about what would happen - not really a flaw then, is it?

I'd love to see the sequel...but it's been a while since this was made so I'm guessing he gave up the idea.

Just saw this On Demand and was pleasantly surprised - it was quite funny in parts. My favorite was when Zed finally learns that the cops are outside.

The MAJOR FLAW is showing Zed and Zoe simply walk away from a horrendous crime scene. Yeah...no. At the very least, they (along with everyone else) would have been detained and interviewed (even at a medical center).

I agree. I don't think the investigators would've even allowed Zed and Zoe to leave the bank. They would've been taken to a police station and questioned. Even though they may not be questioned as suspects, the investigators still would've asked them basic questions about the bank heist. I highly doubt they would've just let Zed and Zoe sail off in the sunset. Technically, they would've been vital witnesses to the bank heist.
