this movie deserves better
a great adaption of Kipling's novel

I can't agree with you more, this film deserves a much higher rating. Luscious filming, terrific music, solid performances, slick direction and pacing and it is true to the book. I did think some scenes were a little intense, and I slightly prefer the animated film, but as you say this is a great adaptation of Kipling's book.

I love this movie as a child and I still love it now. I think it has 100% on rotten tomatoes. It is a great film! 5.8 is painfully low! I actually enjoyed it more than the animated movie (although it was wonderful as well).
