Shame really. This was a childhood favorite.

I saw the trailer on an old VHS. Sparked my memory of it. That's one of my childhood movies. The soundtrack is sweet. Sweeps one away, as this is a beautiful romantic escape kind of film. The locations, the animals....loovvee! If I hear the soundtrack? I forget where I am. I start daydreaming of faraway exotic lands. Love love love this!

Well it maybe because not everybody has seen it in a long time, or even the fact that Disney doesn't release it like they do with Mary Poppins every 5 years for its anniversary

True but then again people remember the ones that flopped like Hocus Pocus and Newsies better than this which did well financially and was critically acclaimed.

And plus I am pretty sure that they have never taken either Hocis Pocus or Newsies to the Disney vault, and I can believe it being with Newsies since they have it playing on the stage which would pretty much being a touring show of it.
