Raising Arizona connection

The Coen Brothers often put references to their other works into their movies. Another example in Raising Arizona was the scene in the restroom when the escaped convicts were putting hair jelly into their hair. The hair jelly was an important thing to the George Clooney character in O Brother Where Art Thou?

* The judge in the Rexroth divorce case, a minor character in Intolerable Cruelty, was named Marva Munson. This was the name of the owner of the rooming house in The Ladykillers.
* In The Ladykillers MacSam tells Gudge "Mr. Gudge, she had a ass that could pull a bus." In Burn After Reading, Linda Litzke tells her doctor "My mother had an ass that could pull a bus."

The "Hudsucker Industries" one is fun though, because it's a "forward" reference. They hung onto the "Hudsucker" name for almost ten years before recycling it into a movie title.

There's also a law firm called "Tuckman/ Marsh" in both A Serious Man & Burn After Reading.

If anyone has ever seen Crimewave (the other movie written by CoBro and Sam Raimi, but directed by Raimi) there's a Hudsucker Penitentiary.
