Shut up, woman!
I know it's supposed to be the lingo of the movie, but every time the female journalist opened her mouth I wanted to flykick her in the mouth.
She ruined this already bad movie from the beginning

A lot of career women in films of the 30s-40s talked like that like Katherine Hepburn. Try watching one of her films.
shareI liked the movie, however I did find her voice super annoying. I realize it might have been over-the-top camp intentionally, but still grated on my nerves.
shareI agree strongly with the OP. It ruined the movie.
She was trying way to hard to BE Katheryn Hepburn, and it simply came off as annoying.
I LOVE EVERY LINE…."Thats just the potatoes…here comes the gravy!" "…a sawbuck!…" "do you think I look…mannish?" " "…consider this my resignation….EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY!!!"….."or my name isn't Amy Archer and I didn't win the PULITZER PRIZE!!!………in 1957…"
Watch this movie again when your older and smarter and you'll be embarrassed at your post
