Special Edition DVD?

Does anyone know if there are plans to release this on special edition DVD? I know there was an INCREDIBLE amount of footage shot for this film, so I know they have plenty to put on.

criterion will be releasing it on dvd this may (may 10 is the tentative date)

There are extras revealed for the HOOP DREAMS DVD:

- Two audio commentaries: one with William Gates & Arthur Agee, and another with Steve James, Frederick Marx and Peter Gilbert

- Siskel & Ebert footage based on the acclaim of Hoop Dreams

- Original music video

- Theatrical trailers

- In the booklet: essays & archive articles, plus a dedication to the Agee & Gates families written by filmmaker Steve James

This sounds like a very promising DVD to me.

My boyfriend and I watched most of this movie on DVD. We had both seen it before and liked it. But we stopped to have sex, so I can't tell you about the speacial features. Sorry.
