Was shot on Video Tape not FILM

I was reading an interview with Robert Rodriguez about this movie and he said that it was shot on VIDEO not FILM. I thought that was pretty cool. Anyone have any details on this?

Uh, dude... it's a frikkin doc. Most behavioral docs are shot on video. 7years of shooting on film, at times, 5 hours a day would make this film cost more to produce than "Titanic"

Sorry, didn't mean to sound like that. Should have just said it differently. But yes, it was shot on tape, as are most behavioral docs. Didn't mean to sound like a dick.
