Steve James - Guest Lecturer
Hey, I am a student at San Diego State University and Steve James came in last week as a guest lecturer. It was a very interesting day in my Documentary film class. If you want, I can post my notes from the class.
Interestingly enough, my school's D1 Basketball coach was present, along with people in the writing, women's studies and criminal justice department.
James almost quoted Robert Flaherty (Nanook of the North) exactly in how "you have to be less than candid with the truth to serve a greater good." in his personal portrayl of the St. Joseph's coach.
