This is suppose to be the greatest documentary ever made - Please watch Triumph of the Will and Shoah and see if you still feel that way

I've seen Shoah and TOTW and they're both very good, but completely different especially Triumph which was released in the 1930's. And why are you bringing up two holucaust films? I personally like Hoop dreams better than both of them simply because of the subject matter isn't depressing and closeness to the characters. I also like how the film is a five year journey as opposed to just one specific event and is both informative and entertaining. While TOTW was brilliant for its time, it is a completely different film all together and Shaoh was a great documentary, but didn't have the entertainment aspect that Hoop Dreams contains.

It's a Top 5 film easily.

How is this not in the Top 250? Makes you wonder what goes through people's heads when stuff like Batman Begins is like 100.

Agreed, there isn't a better movie out there, this is just such an important film it should be required viewing for all kids looking to play sports beyond high school.

Documentaries don't make the top 250 either way, regardless what they're rated.
This could jump up to an 8.8 and still not be in it.
