I didn't read all the comments here, but everyone seems to have missed the fact that Ben Stiller's character is lampooning Kevin Bacon's character in "White Water Summer", namely that of the crazed camp leader, Vic .
To truly appreciate how funny Stiller's performance is, you should watch "White Water Summer" and then watch "Heavyweights" it adds so much more.
