Tree Stump Scene
What was the point of the tree stump? Why does that kid sneak candy for them into the tree trunk? Did he feel bad for giving up their hiding spot and snuck them their candy back? This always bothered me.
shareI think the kid recognized the profits he could make by selling the food. I am sure there was a hefty "delivery fee."

He was a businessman. If the guy didn't give up the main stash, then his racket wouldn't have worked as well. The real question would have been, did anyone know who the supplier was? There was a lot that they could have done with that aspect. It could have been another setup. I like the movie the way it is even though this part seemed like a weird dead end.
