Does anyone else notice at the seymour butts part how the lips dont match up to the words...like they had originally scripted and filmed something else but disney didnt like it and dubbed seymour butts over it? can anyone tell what they're actually saying? I want to know...

It's probably just that the overdubbing doesn't quite match the film. Sometimes when the sound quality is poor they have the actors dub over it and every once in a while you can notice it. it's probably the right lines.
If you watch the movie on disney channel though there are quite a few words that are censored, most notable is when josh returns to camp right after he pretends he's insane.
I have seen this movie realistically about 50 times (it was just always in the vcr during my roomate days) We always saw this dub as suspicious and I agree with rebeccanator's opinion that it was someting that the "DIS" was not happy with. It is just so OFF that it can't be just a bad dub. Anyway I have no idea what they said. Great movie though. BTW I have a severely deviated septum and make a very disturbing sound as I sleep, do not be alarmed I am fine!
shareI believe the actual name spoken was "Peter Fitz," the line being something along the lines of "everybody's Peter Fitz if you push it in hard enough" or something similar. Either way, not fair, Disney.

I noticed tis too and wondered. But it has always been there. I remember finding the Seymour Buts Joke Genious when I saw it as a 1st grader. I'm gonna read the lips :D
Actually from I recall, this movie was completely edited and overdubbed AFTER it's theatrical release. I saw heavyweights with my parents when it first came out a long time ago. It was PG-13 at the time...and there were TONS of curses and dirty jokes. I remember this vividly because a bunch of parents took their kids out of the theatre because of all the cursing...I just watched this a couple of days ago on HBO and noticed that they edited out all the cursing and dirty jokes. I forget what he said during the seymore butts joke, but I remember it was a lot dirtier with a curse word in it. Also, when camp MVP passes by the boat in the edited version it said "You Stink" I remember watching it theatres and they said "You Suck Dick"

I seem to remember this too. I remember seeing it unedited with all those jokes and stuff... is there any way we could get the uncensored version released? xD
shareIt would make sense why the original was so dirty. This isn't a DISNEY movie, it's a Judd Apatow film! Just like 40 Year Old Virgin, Knocked Up, and Superbad. It's just a little bit cleaner than those films.

shareA similar thing happened in 3 Ninjas Kick Back. In the scene where they are fighting the ninjas and talking on the phone with their parents. Colt is talking to their dad and the dad says "Don't be a smart kid" and Colt replies "I'm not being a smart kid". If you read their lips, they're saying 'smartass'.Let those who don't understand me, fear me. Let those who understand me, fear themselves.
