Seymor Butts not in sync

Okay, so I always noticed as did others, when Josh is saying the "Seymor Butts" joke to Tony... it is clearly not in sync with what the actor was really saying... I always assumed that the joke was changed after filming... possibly because the oringal was deemed inappropriate maybe?? Does anyone know what it was originally... can anyone lipread??

This will go down as the greatest mystery in cinema history. Unless Steven Brill himself comes out and tells the world, the speculation will always run rampant.

From other threads, I have heard it is:

Peter fitz? who's peter fitz? somebody tell me who's peter fitz!?

everybody's peter fitz if you push hard enough!

But who really knows.......

I can see why it might get editted if he said the peter fitz joke. There was another part when someone said shoot, but you can clearly see him mouth the "s-word."

I'm a relatively respectable citizen. Mutiple felon perhaps, but certainly not dangerous.

I thought he was saying "Dumore Butts" but who really knows?

It's totally the Peter Fitz joke. I just watched that scene and you can see him say that for sure. I've always wondered what he said. Thanks for the post

At the risk of being made fun of, what does the peter fitz joke mean? I'm missing the joke. Please explain.

I just googled and found an interview with one of the kids:

"In the same scene is the infamous “Who’s Seymour Butz?” bit, where the dialogue has obviously been dubbed over. The name was originally “Peter Fitz” and Stiller is going “Who’s Peter Fitz? Who’s Peter Fitz?” and Shaun’s punchline was “No one’s Peter Fitz as good as yours, Uncle Tony!” But, yeah, they had to change it and it’s pretty obvious."

I'm going to assume peter = penis in this joke.
