I know the obvious answer is that she's a mean-spirited, cruel person, which she was. But from the very beginning, it seemed that Stacy disliked Angela for no reason. The look she gave in the car when they were driving around doing their Lark initiation tasks, for example. And after Angela said ONE comment: "Stacey, come on, that's private!" Stacey turned against her like a wolverine.

Stacy didn't hate her. Stacy just didn't like her but Angela was kind of forcing Stacy to like her.

shareI went to 8 different schools and each one had groups like this. Always a queen bee who was pretty and came across as stuck up.
But some were like this for different reasons, I learned this later one. One girl lets call her Amy was trying to be something she wasn't. Her family wasn't rich it was her grandparents & she lived in her grandparents home with her parents and little brother. Her grandmother never let the family forget she was the one who paid for everything. This made Amy jealous and angry. She took her anger out on girls she was afraid to become. Poorer or lower class girls. She dated rich guys who had nice cars. She worked hard to be who she wasn't.
Another girl we will call her Sarah I later learned lived with a mom who was a drug addict. Her dad has left her and her mom because of drugs. Her life was going down hill. She turned on other girls because she hurt inside.
I think all bullies are hurting inside in some way. But that is no excuse.
That's just how cliques are. Stacy was the queen bee. And it didn't help how she stuck up for Monica about the whole diary thing.

shareI think it's kinda how some people just hate on celebrities or movie/tv show. Like at one point everyone loved Twilight but now you are stupid if you like it and people make fun of it. Why? It makes no sense because it just is. Girls in highschool are awful to each other! Worse than boys.
I had one girl in single me out in highschool for no reason. All 4 years she picked on me from day one even before she knew my name. The first time I saw her she looked at me laughed then said "Well, who does she think she is?" I stopped and asked her if she was talking to me and she just laughed and said "As if I'd waste my breath on you." She was awful and I even skipped school at times because of her. I stalk her on Facebook at times and have to laugh she's still as awful and spends time online complaining about her kids that she lost custody of.
