Animal Brutality

Bck-1 is absolutely right. Other that what Fresh did to the dog, this could have been a good movie.

I thought that scene was awful the dog didn't do anything to him. so he didn't have to kill him. After I saw that I thought of that little runt as a monster!

reply

He killed the dog because it was a killer and killed another dog. The dog was a monster.

reply

I really hate to say it because I liked the dog but I think the dog was a unused pawn in a dangerous game Fresh was playing like saying the dog was killed by jake because it won the fight or something like that.

reply

he killed the dog so the dog didnt have to live the life of a fighting dog.

Id like to think that he had a better purpose for killing that dog than this. Why did he had to string it up first?

reply

so how come no one then shot fresh, since he killed, he's a monster too.

I like how with the amount of children being shot in this film, this is till the scene that bothers everybody. dogs>children

with that said, this scene is still the most disturbing and memorable part of the movie for me. i agree with most everyone else, there was no place for the dog to go - a worthless pawn. remember, earlier in the film Fresh clearly cared for the dog when he tried to prevent it from fighting. it shows his act wasn't malicious.

That was the most gripping scene in the movie. It worked.

sacrifices had to be made, plus it had no where to go since it lived at that big mouths house. And his Aunt wud definitely not take that dog in

Basically, he couldn't take care of the dog, and it was pretty vicious from being made into a fighting dog. He didn't want the dog to hurt anybody and he realized that that dog really had no hope to have a good life. Yes, it is harsh to murder a dog but in his mind it was the best thing to do. People need to look deeper into things. Why do people think that he just killed the dog because he felt like it. Obviously he had remorse but he was smart enough to realize that the dog had no future. This scene had a purpose and is a lot deeper than everyone thinks.
