I Really Like This One...
This is the sequel to the Three and Four Musketeers as far as I'm concerned. Something/everything just went terribly wrong with Lester's 1989 Return of the Musketeers and this is the Musketeer film I wanted.
It has a distinct style to the action and the humor works most of the time. I like the characters and I like the acting. The music seems, at first, out of character - totally in the style of the period - without the orchestral flamboyance of most swashbuckler scores... But it certainly grew on me.
