shareJean Marsh excels at that kind of thing. Check her out in Willow (a bit hammy, but it works) and The Eagle Has Landed, for similar villainy.

Agreed. Marsh is a standout in what is otherwise a pretty awful film.
shareI feel sure that Anna Von Hagen, played by Jean Marsh, was intended to resemble Greta Garbo. Ironically, the real Greta Garbo was by no means an admirer of Nazism, to the extent that she is said to have offered her services to the US government to assassinate the Fuhrer. Who knows?
Mr. Hitler was big on me. He kept writing and inviting me to come to Germany, and if the war hadn't started when it did, I would have gone and I would have taken a gun out of my purse and shot him, because I am the only person who would not have been searched.- Wikiquote
Marsh made my blood run cold in this movie!

She was the most chilling thing in this, the scariest thing i've ever seen about the holocaust. "Up in smoke!" I'll never be able to forget that, and even though you know all the history, when you see that scene it slams you in the gut.
Absolutely emu!
