A specific question
Where is Eric and Cristina when they're walking on green fields? Why are they there? A camping trip excursion? What?

I was going to ask the same question, but didn't get to it yet. I've noticed a lot of people post messages about movies they've either not finished or only seen tidbits of. The person obviously hasn't seen the movie to its conclusion.
"Nice beaver!"
"Thanks, I just had it stuffed."--The Naked Gun
As a matter of fact I did, but there was no context in which why was a young babysitter and a random man(and not the police) looking for a dead body.
shareIt should be obvious that a search party was enacted, just based on the fact that ordinary citizens are out walking the fields and casually talking about a missing person. It is also part of the surprise effect, that we as the audience aren't fully aware of what their search will find or mean. But it becomes very clear by the end of the movie, when we can reassess what we've already seen.

It would be nice if you would put something more specific than "A specific question" in your header.
shareYou're an idiot.
shareI watched this movie very carefully and I was also confused by the scenes in the field. I did not "get" that they were looking for a missing person. I remember Christina saying she used to babysit for this girl, that's why she was there. But I got the impression they were on the way to a birthday party or something fun in the field, so I was very confused by the ending when they found the body.
shareAh you guys have never searched for a dead body before (thank god) They are combing the field - looking for his dead daughter or signs of her. It is pretty standard practice.
Sometimes the difference between self-amusement and self-actualization is less than you think.
I didn't get what they were doing right up until the end when they find the child. it's not a common practice here so I thought they were only on an excursion through the fields or something of the sort.
