Ok, so if you can speak Spanish or better still live in the appropiate country (you will see why in a minute)it could be a huge advantage.
Go to YouTube and type in exotica everybody knows, then select the second hit down, it lasts for 6.12. Can anybody shed any light on where this comes from and if there is any more to it? It appears it may be a tribute someone made, but if so then they sure went to a lot of trouble, and why only do the bit they did? It does seem very well put togehter and someone has put a lot of work into getting this to turn out the way it did.
Any light anybody could shed on this problem would be excellent.

It states in the uploader's description that it is indeed a tribute to the film (Un homenaje a la película "Exótica" de Atom Egoyan). Not much help, sadly.
Also, why not use that particular scene from the film to build a tribute around?

I was hoping I would not have to spell everything out and that my original post was quite clear. However, I never complained about that scene being used, just pointed out that it seemed a little strange to only complete a rather small part, with no real ending and no real explanation.
To reiterate, whoever decided to do this went to an awful lot of trouble to get it the way he did. The camera work, choreography, actors, storyline and indeed the location had to be found and appropriate time and lighting organised to complete the clip...not mention all of the editing etc. It just seemed to me that if someone had gone to all that trouble, then they may have filmed additional scenes and/or may have chosen to wrap it up more finally, I found it ended a little abruptly.
The clip has already been changed and extended compared to the original and so there was scope to do a lot more. I also wondered if maybe it was part of another show or something or may have originally been longer and just this piece cut out and posted. I personally really liked it and thought it was very well done, I mean how would you go about trying to create something like this with your standard digital camera etc.
Just wondered if anyone had any info on to what was behind this clip or had seen to somewhere else or who could possibly contact the poster and see if would be willing to answer some questions. I tried sending him a message but never got a reply, then again I only speak English.

...and I never mentioned that you complained about it. I asked what I did because what I gathered from your original post was that you seemed puzzled as to why the people behind the video chose that scene to base a tribute around. Clearly I was wrong, whether you made it clear or not.
Personally, I didn't find it strange that it has no ending or explanation. In terms of a tribute to Egoyan's work, it makes sense. I can't make the claim to having seen everything he's ever made but of what I have seen outside of Exotica, none of it falls in the realm of clear-cut endings and linear narratives.
