If someone else had directed Ed Wood

I pictured a different director making a movie on Edward D. Wood Jr. I pictured Martin Scorsese doing it. If Scorsese made Ed Wood, he probably would've had DiCaprio play Ed. Then I pictured Oliver Stone doing it. All I can say is, I'm so glad Stone was nowhere near this. If he made a movie on Ed Wood, you can bet the movie would've been very dark and very depressing. The movie would've made Ed look bad and it would've made Bela Lugosi look very bad. You probably would've saw Ed drinking and drunk all the time. You probably would've saw Lugosi doing drugs 90% of the movie. And I guarantee the movie would not have had a happy ending like Tim Burton's movie did. You would've seen Wood's alcoholism, you would've seen him drinking heavily, looking really bad, and it would've ended with Wood lying dead. Stone would've shown the very sad end of Ed's life. I don't know who Stone would've got to play Ed, but that's beside the point.

I don't know how Martin Scorsese would've handled it, but I'm, guessing he wouldn't have handled it like Stone would have.

They did show him drinking though. He always has Imperial whiskey in the movie. I tried it. I thought it was terrible. I wonder if that's really what he drank.

One thing I have to say is that Ed was very creative. A lot of his movies had interesting ideas and storylines, but it was his budget that made the execution bad. If Eddie had more money I think he could've did a hell of a lot better with Plan 9 from Outer Space. The movie had a very interesting story. There were some good lines too. Yes, there were some silly lines. But some stuff he wrote was good. He wasn't all bad. I've heard stories that he has written scripts drunk. Is that true? I liked Bride of the Monster, Plan 9 from Outer Space, and Night of the Ghouls. I also found Glen or Glenda to be interesting. The story was told in such a strange and unique way. If Plan 9 had a bigger budget it would've been much better.

From what I've read, Ed didn't seem like the type to steal anything. He gave Alex Gordon writing credit for Bride of the Monster just for giving him the idea. Gordon contributed nothing to the screenplay. I don't consider Jail Bait to be his best movie either. Ed Wood was a great guy. Not only do I enjoy his movies, but I commend him for serving his country in the marines and fighting in WWII. He was a decorated war hero.
