which film had better music?

Crooklyn or Dead Presidents? (In your opinion)

They were similar weren't they? At least I think of them in the same context. My choice is Crooklyn. I love the cover of Where is the Love and the other music in Dead Prez but the music in Crooklyn just sets the tone for me. I connect better with the choices and the soundtrack is great, 2 discs of great music. Then again, I am more familiar with Crooklyn as I haven't seen Dead Prez in a while, but I do have that soundtrack as well.

I've never seen Dead Presidents in full, but I feel like the music in Crooklyn sets up the scenes so perfectly.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but just on the Stylistics thread on Wikipedia. Not seen Dead Presidents sorry but just have to say, The Stylistics' People Make the World Go Round, featured in Crooklyn is one I never knew about till I saw the film, it has one of the foxiest intros ever. My favourite sound track is Jackie Brown.

They both were great but I would say Dead President.....

Dead Preseidents was more soulful and harder R and B.Crooklyn was more pop music of the time, mello memories. They are both excellent.I would say a tie.A Bronx Tale was more mob/Sinatra.I liked Casino best!
