This movie was not funny at all. When I went to see this 12 years ago I didn't laugh at all. Cops and robbersons quite frankly suffers from "I'm not going to try too hard to write a comedy" syndrome.

shareAgreed. I recorded it from cable and watched it last night. Last time I watched it was a long time ago. This movie wasn't funny at all. I can see how some people liked it, but this just didn't do anything for me. It lacked in every aspect and almost had a Home Alone feel to it when it came to the "bad guys".

You are so right 'Kenneth_Loring' re: the lack of humor in this 'gag a maggot' movie. The writers tried toooooo hard to make it funny. Chase is very clumsy as the wannabe cop trying hard to help and looking like a fool. there is no saving grace except for characters played by Davi and Palance.

As great as Fletch is, Cops and Robbersons is other-end-of-the-spectrum bad. Chase is much funnier when he's one step ahead of us rather than playing dumb.
