This is the most almost movie ever

Somebody needs to re-appraise this masterpiece (AFI, I'm looking in your direction...). It get's a bum rap but it is funny, scary and heart-warming. What more could you ask for? Martin Short is a totally believeable 10-yr old. The insane ending is actually a very clever homage to Luis Buñuel.

I agree completely. I actually didn't know who Martin Short was before this movie and believed that the part of Clifford was actually just being played by a real 10 year old boy. I thought it was the boy from Jurassic Park to tell you the truth. This movie is completely underrated. I'm glad someone else picked up on the Luis Buñuel homage, too.

Hell, yeah!

I loved this movie, and don't know why so many people hate it. I think a few of them are misunderstanding the point. Clifford was *supposed* to be TERRIBLY annoying.

He succeeded.

I agree, this movie is extremely funny, and kind of parallels another favorite of mine, "The 'Burbs" in its comedy style. If only more people could appreciate the clever humor in this film.
