Home Alone meets the Mob

Is this a kids film? I couldn't help being reminded of Home Alone. In this case, instead of burglars you have the Mob who are another a bunch of clowns, falling down every obvious manhole, the lawyers and FBI are all buffoons and the police are stereotyped pigs. The only character with any brains is the boy. I know it wasn't aimed at children but it should have been.

I'm with you on this pullgees.....watching it right now......frustratingly implausible.....his lack of protection (and family)....why can't all four stay together(lawyer the 2 kids and Mom under some kind of protection ie. witness?)esp early on @ the beginning....sheesh...too much more to say....arghhhh !
