Mary-Louise Parker's Role
My favourite kind of mother or mother-figure are usually Jodie Foster/Gena Rowlands/Susan Sarandon kind of mom. Mary-Louise Parker, although played a mother in many of her movies/shows since her 20's, never really convinced me. Maybe it's because her other mother roles are really unconventional, such as in Fried Green Tomatoes, Saved!, Solitary Man and Weeds, etc. But hell, I'm really satisfied and impressed with Mary-Lou's performance in this movie.
What do y'all think?
I don't intend to be offensive, but I have to defend my opinions.
