All The Smoking Bugged Me

I really didn't like all the smoking in the film - Especially from Mark...I mean, Reggie is a mum and yet she smokes in front of the boy and lets him do so to?!

But, anyway, Brad Renfrew was great in this picture.

Glorifying the smoking is BAD. Many lead characters are so addicted.

Other than that, good film.

Get off your self righteous mountains, I'm lighting up now!

Think of it this way: his smoking is what got him into the trouble he was in with the mob and police. As for Reggie letting him smoke in her house, I think she was desperate for him to open up to her and offering him a cigarette felt like her last option. Nothing good came from any of the characters smoking.

Bit late after the event I know but I just watched this film having recorded it. I do sometimes wonder if cigarette companies quietly sponsored a film on the understanding that a lot of the characters are shown smoking, and not just the baddies. You rarely if ever see smoking on TV these days so that outlet is closed to them, at least in the UK. Perhaps films are the last place left they can fund subliminal and overt advertising.
