Favorite Line?

Great movie all around, but the line that always makes me laugh is when the fat cop is yelling at Kristy Swanson and says:

"Ms Voss, don't do it! You're confused, he's confused you.. it's very confusing."

Classic...

My favorite exchange, not just one line, is at the border showdown at the end. When Natalie's holding a gun to a guy's head, Jack says, "You've gone completely mad," to which she says, "Thanks for noticing."

One of the lines thats still in my head is really not a line, but a sound. When Josh Mostel and Henry Rollin's car gets hit with the medical cadaveres and theres that one that stuck on the hood. Josh Mostel has to lean out of the car ,while still in pursuit, and grab the body bag. While he's pulling the body off †he car he says "ewwWWWWWWAaeewwww".
Its been atleast a year since I last saw this movie for about the 20'th time yet there it is.

From the little I can remember of this film since the last time a saw it (which was about a year ago), I remember Jack blaring on the car phone:

"We wouldn't want your viewers to CHANGE THE 'bleeping' CHANNEL NOW WOULD WE?"

I just remember going into an uncontrollable fit of giggles after that bit.

I liked henry rollins - "We're standard issue street soldiers"

Mine would be when he answers the phone and says "Domino's Pizza!" I just laugh uncontrollably after this one! I actually did it once at home and it was a woman doing a consumer's poll and she really bought it!

The funniest person on IMDB, grievous-one: JACK: "Call me Darth Awesome."

reply

My favorite is his speech towards the news guy because it's so damn true.

reply

Easily my favorite

When the TV show producer, asks Henry Rollins whats the worst thing he's ever seen as a police officer.

Henry Rollins: "It would have to be that bus full of nuns that fell off the cliff."

Josh Mostel: "What about the kids?"

Henry Rollins: "Oh god yeah, the kids!"

reply

I forget how it goes...but Henry Rollins says something like "I consider myself more of a prophet, a street prophet." hah

reply

"Ms Voss, don't do it! You're confused, he's confused you.. it's very confusing." <---I love that line.

reply

Yes! The "street prophet" mini-schpeel was my favorite line because they show you his partner with this bewildered look on his face like "yeah, i gotta listen to this guy everyday for 8+ hours" and he just kinda shakes his head as he's talking.. it's subtle but classic!

reply

yeah - when the news called on the car phone. That was actually the only half-way good part of the movie.

I think my favorite line isn't any particular line at all. Instead, it's the entire cameo from Cary Elwes. He puts on the goofiest over the top American accent he's ever mustered for the part. He's just one of the reasons that I've watched this movie so many times.

reply

"[They have kidnapped] daughter of Dalton Voss"

"Sh*t"

"Yes sir!"

Ah, and the Domino's line gets me every time...

reply

The "screw the system" quote. Something like "NO DON'T SCREW THE SYSTEM! MASSAGE THE SYSTEM, PLEASE THE SYSTEM, BUT WHATEVER YOU DO, DON'T SCREW THE SYSTEM!"

"Hey hey hey! Candy Thief!"

"Geez you're a brat"

"What the hell are they swerving all over for?"

Anthony Kedis mentioning something about a restaurant which just sounded funny

EEEEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW ("Hey Tubby" from Billy Madison)

"Huh! MONKIES!"

Those cheesy news headlines: Terror on the highway and so on, cheesier the longer the chase gets.

reply

Dalton Voss: "I didn't just fall off the turnip truck!"
Jack Hammond: " It must've been a yam wagon... you're fathers a real funny guy."
and,
Natalie Voss: "you kidnapped me with a candy bar?"
Jack Hammond: "I thought for sure everyone was going to hear the wrapper crinkle."

Did you know condoms have serial numbers on? Oh I guess you never had to roll 'em down that far.
