When I was a kid...

My brother Philip and my cousin Aaron at the part where he gets shot up but it reveals after it was only a daydream it's near the very end of the movie they turned off the tv and one said "oh it's over" and the other one said the same and I was left disturbed watching the blank tv. I was really little and it really disturbed me. Maybe 9. It was a few years later I saw some of the movie on tv and I realized they lied to me. What stinkers they were.

Heh, that's a good one. Sounds like something my brother woulda done to me when I was younger.

It reminds me of the movie 'Running Scared' with Paul Walker. There's a German(Maybe Russian?) character in that movie who talks about when he was a boy in Germany, and he watched a John Wayne film over and over. Well when he was a grown man, and made it to America, he found the same film. Only this time, he found the uncensored American version, where John Wayne gets shot in the back. Hah. I didn't know they did that in other countries, but it makes sense.

I forgot all about that with Running Scared glad you reminded me. That makes more sense of that character. Weird how movies are different in different places. In the trivia to Brokeback Mountain they said they had frontal of the characters in one scene but that only is on the European version. Weird for a US movie.
