How about a musical of Bullets....

Word has it that Marvin Hamlisch is making a musical of this incredibly funny film.
(I think it's a great story to be brought to life through music personally.) I hope he finishes it so the lady who should be playing Helen Sinclair (my favorite character) gets a shot-Christine Ebersole, who just took the 2007 best actress in a musical Tony for Grey Gardens. She's quite talented and really has a great sense of comedic timing.
I have other people in mind for the other roles, but she stands out as the clear Helen Sinclair. (Kristin Chenoweth as Olive comes to mind.)

I love David but isn't he a little small? (I was thinking Shuler Hensley from Young Frankenstein-he's big and brawny)
Kristin Chenoweth as Olive
Sutton Foster as Ellen
Kate Shindle as Eden (Tracy Ullman character-or you could put Sutton in here)
Hugh Panaro or Matt Cavenaugh as David Shayne

Sounds like a dreadful idea. Doubly so if it includes Marvin Hamlisch.
