Woody was far too old to play a 20-something playwright.

At the time critics complained that Woody made his male leads imitate him, rather than give their own natural performances. It was said of John Cusack here, but even more of Kenneth Branagh in Woody's CELEBRITY.

Mary Louise Parker seems to be doing Diane Keaton at times, too.

I actually meant can't agree on that. He was too old for that role.
